Year 6 Teacher – Newcastle upon Tyne

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real impact in the lives of young learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Newcastle upon Tyne from April 2025.

This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for an educator committed to preparing students for their SATs and the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire Year 6 students
  • Prepare pupils for SATs and secondary school transition, ensuring they feel confident and ready
  • Provide individualised support, helping every child reach their full potential
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers
  • Track and assess student progress effectively

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Year 6 (preferred but not essential)
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring children
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A creative, resourceful, and proactive approach to teaching
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
