Job description

Year 6 Teaching Position

A school in Chorley, Lancashire are seeking to appoint a Year 6 Teacher on a temporary basis.

The role has come about following a long-term sickness for the class teacher. The role is expected to continue until December with the possibility of the role becoming permanent, depending on the success of the results and the staffing requirements.

The rate of pay is competitive.

Requirements

  • Evidence of positive results/progress in pupils.
  • Ability to utilise a teaching assistant.
  • Experience working in Year 6.
  • Fully Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Clear DBS on the Update System or a willingness to obtain one.

The School

The school is situated in Chorley and is at the heart of the local community. It is easily accessible by public transport and had parking available for those who drive. The senior leadership team are extremely supportive and will assist the successful candidate with CPD and resources. It is a two-form entry school so collaborative planning takes place in order to allow continuity across the classes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
