Year 1 Teacher – PRESTON - OCTOBER 2024 START

A fantastic opportunity for an inspirational teacher to join an established KS1 Team – this gap in staffing is due to a planned absence.. The Headteacher is looking for a practitioner who will be an excellent role model to pupils and support staff with a forward thinking attitude. The ideal candidate will display resilience and understands the importance of building positive relationships with parents, staff and pupils. This is a full time teaching role beginning from OCTOBER 2024, the role will continue for the entire academic year. The Headteacher encourages collaborative planning; therefore there will be full support from a highly skilled partner teacher and KS1 Lead.  

The Headteacher is keen to appoint a practitioner who is keen to contribute to wider school life and someone who has a clear passion for contributing to the development and learning of children. The School are keen to appoint a practitioner who has experience leading a subject; however the Headteacher welcomes applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.

The pay and working hours:

The rate of pay will reflect the role and also the level of experience of the successful applicant. It is expected to fall within the bracket of £120-£190 per day **in line with AWR, based on a 6.5 hour working day. To confirm also, this is a full time role to start from October 2024. The expectation is that the role will continue until July 2025.

Next Steps:

Candidates will be invited to a formal observation followed by an interview with the Headteacher. The Headteacher will arrange the interviews as soon as possible in order to secure the right person likely to take place during the 1st and 2nd week of September.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
