Job Title: Year 3 Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Burnley Primary School
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover (Starting after October Half-Term)
Salary: MPS (depending on experience)
Start Date: After October Half-Term

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis, starting after the October half-term.
Role Overview:
As the Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to a class of enthusiastic learners. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. The role will be a full-time maternity cover, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a "Good" rated school with a strong community focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress to ensure high achievement and personal development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and carers.
- Uphold the school’s values and contribute to its community-focused ethos.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3.
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to inspire and engage pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience in planning differentiated lessons and providing tailored support to meet the needs of individual learners.
