Job description

Job Title: KS1 Teacher

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Whitworth

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £120 - £140 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 children
  • Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to children, SLT and parents
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • PGCE - Primary Education 

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 children 
  • Experience in planning and delivering lessons

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all children

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time temporary position
  • Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Classroom-based teaching with some administrative duties
