Year 1 Teacher

  • Full-time (Monday- Friday)

A school in Blackburn (BB1) are looking to appoint a Year 1 teacher to start after January 2025. The position is currently a temporary role, however, there maybe potential for a long-term position within the school in the future.

The school is of average size and has a number of children with additional needs. The successful candidate would need to be able to uphold the schools ethos and have a positive attitude towards pupil progression. Within the school there is a supportive Senior Leadership Team who are keen to welcome a new member to the Key Stage 1 team.

The Role:

Through out this role, the successful candidate would need to be experienced within KS1 teaching, especially within a Year 1 environment. You would be expected to plan lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum and be able to demonstrate previous experience of progress tracking within an educational setting. The Head Teacher within this school has a high standard of teaching and is passionate about progressing pupils and staff.

Candidates:

  • NQTS and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
  • Be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Key Stage 1 teaching
  • Must have strong communication skills to build relationships with pupils and parents
  • Have experience in pupil progression and raising attainment
  • Consistently implement the school’s strong behavioural strategy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
