At TP Tutors, we want to be able to give our tutors that first step on their road to changing their own lives, as well as the young people around them. If you are a new Teacher looking for that first step into education, or an experienced Teacher looking for an exciting new challenge, please read on.
We are currently looking for Teachers in Wakefield and the surrounding areas to build up our talent pool. As a Teacher/Tutor, you will be expected to be engaging, helpful, and energetic throughout your roles, bringing empathy to each and every challenge that may appear.
The pay for Tutors is £25-£35 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils may need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.
Requirements for the role:
- QTS, PGCE or relevant experience in the classroom setting.
- A desire to encourage, build confidence and motive your pupils.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
- Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
- Classroom/1-1 teaching experience desirable, as well as knowledge of up-to-date safeguarding training for those in education.
- Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
