Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant – Tameside Secondary Schools

About the Role:
As a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support Students with SEN: Work closely with students requiring additional help, including those with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties. You’ll play a key role in their academic and personal development.
- Provide Tailored Support: Deliver one-to-one and small group sessions to address specific learning needs and ensure no student is left behind.
- Assist in the Classroom: Help the teacher maintain an inclusive and engaging learning environment, where all students feel supported.
- Offer Pastoral Care: Build strong, trusting relationships with students, boosting their confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
No Experience? No Problem!
We provide full training in safeguarding, SEN support, and behavior management to ensure you have the tools and knowledge you need to succeed in this role.
What We’re Looking For:
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic individual with a desire to help young people thrive in their education.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in care, youth work, coaching, or other support-based roles is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
