Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant – Tameside Secondary Schools

Are you passionate about helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel is seeking Trainee SEN Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Tameside. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in education and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

About the Role:

As a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support Students with SEN: Work closely with students requiring additional help, including those with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties. You’ll play a key role in their academic and personal development.
  • Provide Tailored Support: Deliver one-to-one and small group sessions to address specific learning needs and ensure no student is left behind.
  • Assist in the Classroom: Help the teacher maintain an inclusive and engaging learning environment, where all students feel supported.
  • Offer Pastoral Care: Build strong, trusting relationships with students, boosting their confidence, independence, and overall well-being.

No Experience? No Problem!

We provide full training in safeguarding, SEN support, and behavior management to ensure you have the tools and knowledge you need to succeed in this role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic individual with a desire to help young people thrive in their education.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in care, youth work, coaching, or other support-based roles is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
