Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Special Resource Base (SRB) within a thriving secondary school in Blackwood, Caerphilly. This full-time role involves working with pupils with complex additional learning needs, providing tailored 1:1 and small group support.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in a SEN setting

Provide emotional and academic support to pupils with a range of needs

Promote student engagement through positive reinforcement

Adapt and respond to challenging behaviour with patience and empathy

Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to track and support student progress

Uphold all safeguarding policies and procedures
Requirements
-
Right to work in the UK
-
Enhanced Child-Only DBS Certificate (or willing to apply)

EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration
-
Two professional references covering the last 24 months
-
Experience in a SEN setting is preferred, but not essential – full training and support provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
