Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

We are a welcoming school in the Aylesbury area, dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. Our aim is to ensure every child, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), receives the support they need to succeed. We are seeking a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our SEN students.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support students with a range of learning needs. Your role will involve providing one-on-one and small group support, helping students engage with their learning and ensuring they have the tools to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.

Assist with personalised learning plans and strategies to ensure students are fully included.

Support the delivery of specific interventions to enhance learning.

Help students develop independence, confidence, and social skills.

Assist with personal care where needed.

Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SENCo.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
Key Requirements:

Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is desirable.

A positive and empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and use initiative.

A relevant qualification in education or SEN support is an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
