Job Vacancy: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Aylesbury Area

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive school community in the Aylesbury area. As part of our team, you will work closely with students to support their learning and development, ensuring that every child receives the attention they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND in both classroom and one-to-one settings

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, accessible lessons

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Help students develop key skills, confidence, and independence

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to track student progress and adapt learning strategies

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a SEND setting

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A commitment to the values of inclusion and equality in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
