Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £89-95
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the enthusiasm and drive to help students thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our school as a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of special educational needs. You will assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive lessons, offer one-to-one support to students, and ensure that all learners have the opportunity to reach their potential in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with various special educational needs in both one-to-one and small group settings
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
- Provide academic support to help students meet their individual learning goals
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Help students with personal care and mobility when needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
- Ensure students’ emotional and behavioural needs are met
About You:
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting children with SEN
- Are eager to learn and develop new skills in a classroom environment
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Are patient, empathetic, and proactive in supporting student development
- Have excellent communication skills, both with students and staff
- Are flexible, adaptable, and able to work well within a team
- A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3) is beneficial but not essential
