Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Southampton

About the Role
As an HLTA, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teachers.
- Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Support students with varying needs, including those with additional learning challenges.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students reach their full potential.
What We’re Looking For
- A Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven success working with children in a classroom setting.
- Confidence in leading classes and working with small groups.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude towards supporting learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
