Specialist Teaching Assistant – Supporting Student Success

Are you a dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their best? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school, providing targeted support to students who need it most.

About the Role:

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work Closely with Students: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs, fostering their confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Assist teachers in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated learning to meet individual student goals.
  • Promote Inclusion: Support students in accessing the curriculum and fully participating in school life.
  • Encourage Progress: Monitor student progress, adapting strategies to overcome challenges and celebrate successes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or other barriers to learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and supporting diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
