Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Chorley

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours

Salary: £13.75 - £14.20 Per hour

Job Duties:

• Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons
• Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials
• Working with individual students or small groups to provide additional support
• Helping to maintain a positive learning environment
• Supervising students during break times and lunch periods

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Relevant work experience in an educational setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSE level education or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience working in a school or educational environment

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of educational practises and principles
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and teachers
• Organisational skills and ability to multitask
• Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate or diploma in Teaching Assistance
• First Aid training

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, assisting teachers and students in the classroom. The job may require standing for long periods and occasional lifting of materials.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
