Job Advert: General Teaching Assistant (Year 5/6)
Location: Burnley
Salary: Starting at £12.90 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Are you passionate about education and making a difference in young lives? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our Year 5/6 team at a vibrant school in Burnley.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Assisting pupils with their learning, ensuring every child has the opportunity to achieve their potential.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support as required.
• Supporting the classroom environment by preparing resources and maintaining a positive, organised space.
• Supervising children during activities, break times, and transitions.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Shows a proactive and adaptable approach to their role.
• Ideally has experience working in a school or educational setting (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
