We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Job Overview:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children in their learning, helping to provide a stimulating and supportive environment. You will work with individuals or small groups, assisting with the delivery of lessons, supporting students with additional needs, and helping to promote positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Assist the class teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging lessons.

-          Support children with their academic, social, and emotional development.

-          Provide tailored one-on-one or small group support for children with additional learning needs.

-          Help with classroom management, ensuring all children are engaged and on task.

-          Prepare and organize learning materials and resources.

-          Support the assessment and monitoring of children’s progress.

-          Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff members.

-          Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.

You will need to:

-          Have a minimum of one year’s experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.

-          Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

-          Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum and how children learn.

-          Be patient, flexible, and able to work under the guidance of the class teacher.

-          Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Be proactive, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.

-          Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
