Year 4 Teaching Assistant (ASC Support) – Blackpool South Shore
Start Date: After February Half Term
Location: Blackpool, South Shore
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a welcoming primary school in Blackpool South Shore. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's learning journey and development.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a child with ASC, assisting with academic tasks and social development
- Implementing strategies to support engagement, communication, and sensory needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Managing and de-escalating behaviours in a supportive manner
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASC or SEN (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
- A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
