Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel Birmingham are working in partnership with a secondary school in B36 to appoint a number of teaching assistants on a full time basis.
The school are seeking individuals who have a real passion for supporting young people and can be positive role models to the pupils within the school.
Details:
Location: Birmingham, B36
Hours: Full Time
Rate of Pay: £84-95 (per day, dependent upon experiences and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP (but flexible for the right candidate)
Ideal Person Specification:
- Someone who has previously worked as a TA or in a supportive role within schools
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
- Confident supporting children with special educational needs
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly, showing empathy and understanding
- Capable of supporting children on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing regular informative feedback to the class teacher
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of safeguarding principles
- Can work independently, supporting the most vulnerable children where necessary

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
