Learning Support Assistant (SEN) - Primary School
Location: High Needs Primary School, located in Southampton
Contract: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)

Salary: £12.90 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our compassionate team at a small, high needs primary school specializing in supporting young children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to nurturing vulnerable young learners and creating a secure, trusting learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored, one-on-one and group support to primary-aged pupils with additional needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual learning and support plans.
- Adapt your approach to support the emotional, social, and academic development of each child.
- Build meaningful relationships rooted in trust, encouragement, and understanding.

- Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN in an educational setting.
- A patient, resilient, and adaptive approach to providing individualized support.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build connections with young, vulnerable pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
