Learning Support Assistant for High Needs SEND School (Full-Time, January 6th Start)

Role: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: January 6th
Location: New Forest
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour (National Living Wage)
Contract: Initially through Teaching Personnel, with potential for a permanent school contract after a successful probation period.

About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work directly with pupils who have severe and complex needs, including:

• Severe learning disabilities and physical disabilities
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Down syndrome
• Communication challenges, sensory impairments, and medical needs

Your role will involve assisting with tailored learning activities, personal care, and therapy support to help each child reach their potential in a safe, inclusive environment.

Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils with profound needs, including managing challenging behaviour.
• A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting students.
• Commitment to full-time hours and flexibility to meet the needs of each student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
