Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (Complex Needs) – Winchester

A modern, purpose-built secondary school in Winchester is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with complex needs in a specialist learning environment designed to cater to their educational and developmental requirements.

Role Overview:

  • Providing tailored support to students with a range of complex needs.
  • Assisting in the delivery of personalised learning programmes.
  • Supporting pupils in both academic and social development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Prior experience working within a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting students with additional needs is particularly advantageous.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in care or support work are encouraged to apply.
  • A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.

Employment Details:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • The role will initially be through Teaching Personnel, with a transition to a permanent school contract upon successful completion of the probationary period.
  • Hourly pay: £13.80.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
