Teaching Assistant – Bath

Teaching Personnel are looking for a proactive and determined Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN School in Bath starting as soon as possible. The Teaching Assistant for this ideally should be experienced in working within a school/school setting. As well as this, with the role in mind we value those with any experience working with children in some capacity, examples of other experiences may be, playscheme, babysitting, sports coach, working in nurseries etc.

Specific responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant in this role would consist of the ability to support the pupils of the class with their learning and development. To be able to effectively supervise group work and activities alongside helping teachers to plan learning activities. Furthermore, you will be expected to create and build upon relationships with the teacher, pupils and parents.

Qualities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Prioritise building positive and meaningful relationships.
  • Previous experience working with children in some experience.
  • The ability to demonstrate strong communication and listening skills.
  • Passion to want to impact SEN Schools Positively 
  • Strong use of empathy and understanding.
