Loctiona: Bath Area (BA2) 

Role: Sport Behaviour Mentor 

Start: January 2025

Full -Time / Part-Time Available

 Pay Rate: £84 -£87 per day 

 

  • Full time Sport Behaviour Mentor Assistant required starting as soon as possible following the Christmas break
  • Start on Monday 6th January 2024 ideally but flexibility to start the following week
  • Pay ranging between £12.90 and £13.55 per hour dependent upon experience and confirmed hours (likely 8:15am – 3:30pm)
  • Support at a medium to large sized primary school situated in Bath (BA2), 
  • Previous experience in a similar setting working with behaviour is preffered but not essential
  • Can be Part-time (3 days per week) 

A primary school locatede in the centre of Bath (BA2) is currently seeking to appoint a Sport Behaviour Mentor Assistant. This position will suit a confident, experienced individual who has suitable experience working with young adults exhibiting potential behavioural issues. The role will be working supporting a number of specific students but also chance to work 1:1.

Individuals who have fulfilled the role of a Learning Mentor, Behaviour Mentor or Learning Support Assistant would be ideally placed to fulfil this assistant’s position.

This role would also suit an individual who has experience in a:

  • Youth worker setting
  • Behaviour centric position working with hard to reach, disengaged young adults
  • Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or inclusion centre
  • Sport Degree or Equivelant preferred 
  • Learning Support Assistant
  • Care Support Worker

The school require a Sport Behaviour Mentor Assistant that can engage with his specific student on an individual basis ensuring that they remain engaged with school. In taking on this role, there will be an expectation to engage with the student and support with basis numeracy and literacy in addition to monitoring students’ behaviour in line with school policy.

 The school has excellent facilities as well as an internal Inclusion centre providing outstanding provisions for all students. As a Sport Behaviour Mentor Assistant, building relationships with students should come naturally, acting as a positive role model; someone they look up to.
