What Is the Future Teachers Programme?

This one-year programme gives you first-hand experience in secondary schools, helping you build the practical skills and confidence needed for a smooth transition into teacher training. You’ll work as a Cover Supervisor, gaining valuable insight into the world of education.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Cover Supervisor in a Bridgwater secondary school, you will:

• Supervise lessons during teacher absences using pre-prepared materials
• Support student engagement and behaviour in the classroom
• Experience teaching life without the pressure of planning or marking
• Observe and learn from experienced teaching professionals

What You’ll Gain

• Salary: £22,000 – £25,000
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
