Teacher of Mathematics – Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

A high-achieving and inclusive secondary school on the outskirts of Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join its dynamic department. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher with strong subject knowledge to deliver high-quality maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all key stages.
  • Support students of all abilities in developing mathematical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring alignment with mastery learning principles.
  • Assess student progress using a range of formative and summative approaches.
  • Inspire a love of mathematics through enrichment activities, including STEM projects, Level 2 Further Maths, and A-Level Maths and Further Maths.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching strategies.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Is passionate about maths education and committed to helping every student achieve their potential.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in learning.
  • Can confidently teach maths across all key stages, including A-Level (prior experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Is eager to develop professionally and embrace evidence-based teaching methods.
  • Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
