Supply Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel work closely with a successful, coeducational secondary school located in Emsworth, West Sussex, seeking cover staff from January 2025. The school specialises in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and was graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas during Ofsted’s most recent visit in 2021. The school is easily accessible by car or public transport and is located just a 5-minute walk from Southbourne train station.
The school prides itself on its values of Kindness, Respect, and Determination. It offers a close-knit community with a strong moral purpose, aiming to provide the maximum opportunities for all students. The support for students is rooted in these values, with a dedicated team of staff and Governors committed to inspiring and enabling all to make a positive contribution to themselves, their community, and the wider society. The school has been recognised with the Unicef Rights Respecting Schools Award ‘Gold’, which is a testament to its commitment to creating a respectful and supportive learning environment.
This school is a favourite amongst the current educators working with Teaching Personnel, and the positive experience of cover teachers is evident through the most recent Ofsted inspection, with inspectors commenting that ‘Staff and pupils are very positive about the school and how it is led. Pupils feel safe, enjoy their learning, and said that teachers helped them to do their best. They also agreed that the school encouraged them to respect other people from different backgrounds.’
Teaching Personnel are working with the school to secure teachers, who are available on a flexible ad-hoc basis to support with cover requirements as they arise in academic year 2024/25. The school welcome teachers of all subject specialisms but you may be required to cover a range of subjects depending on needs.

We also offer a guaranteed pay scheme where we will guarantee you pay for certain number of days a week even if you do not work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
