1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Catholic Primary School in Aintree, Liverpool

Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Temp to Perm)
Location: Catholic School, Aintree, Liverpool
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Catholic school community in Aintree, Liverpool. This role is offered on a temp to perm basis, with an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Promote a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment in line with the school’s Catholic ethos.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for supporting children with SEN, with experience or knowledge of Autism being highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to working with children who may display challenging behaviours.
  • A commitment to fostering the spiritual, emotional, and educational development of every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
