Location: Dudley
Salary: £425 - £450 per week
Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Teaching Personnel is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team. This role is based at an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ SEN school in Dudley, catering to students aged 4–19 with severe and profound learning difficulties, including autism and complex medical needs.

About the Role

You will provide tailored support to students, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them overcome learning challenges and achieve their potential. Working closely with the teacher, you’ll assist with classroom activities, behavior management, and, where required, personal care.

This full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm) is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting the educational journey of vulnerable young people in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing additional support to students based on their individual needs.
  • Assisting with classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Managing behavior effectively and fostering student engagement.
  • Supporting personal care requirements when necessary.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have prior experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Demonstrate experience working with children, including those with challenging behaviors.
  • Be comfortable providing personal care as part of the role.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have a Child & Adult DBS on the update service or have willingness to apply for one.
