About the Role:
Are you an empathetic, patient, and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide invaluable support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Mild - Severe learning difficulties. This role is based within an inclusive, supportive specialist school in the B21 are of Birmingham, where every day presents a unique opportunity to contribute positively to young lives.
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with students and staff, helping create a nurturing environment that fosters students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. This is a rewarding role suited to those passionate about making a real difference and who are open to developing their professional skills further.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one and group support to students, adapting to their unique learning styles and needs.
- Assisting the teacher in planning and implementing lessons that are engaging and accessible.
- Supporting students in developing essential life skills, social skills, and academic confidence.
- Using creative methods to engage and motivate students, helping them approach challenges positively.
- working within a team of supportive staff ensure you all work together to provide the best support for the students

Requirements:
- Previous experience in an SEN or educational setting is beneficial but not essential; we’re open to those who bring strong personal qualities and the right mindset for this impactful role.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check, registered on the update service (or already have one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
