Job Title: SEN Tutor
Salary: £25 - £30 Per hour
Job Description:
As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing specialised educational support to students with special educational needs (SEN). Your primary role will involve creating tailored learning plans, delivering one-to-one or small group lessons, and adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
Job Duties:
- Developing personalised learning strategies for students with SEN
- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons in line with the students' individual education plans
- Assessing students' progress and adjusting teaching techniques accordingly
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Providing regular feedback and progress reports to stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Specialist training or experience in SEN education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of different learning disabilities and strategies to support them
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
- Experience in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Training in specific interventions such as Makaton or TEACCH
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary, part-time position based in Oxfordshire, with flexible working hours. You may be required to travel to different locations to deliver tutoring sessions. The role involves working closely with students, parents, and educational professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
