SEN Tutor (Special Educational Needs)
Location: Nottingham

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Tutor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require extra support. As a SEN Tutor, you will help students unlock their full potential through tailored teaching methods that respect their unique learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 tutoring to students with various SEN (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, learning disabilities, etc.)

Develop individualised learning plans tailored to each student’s specific needs, strengths, and goals

Support students in overcoming learning challenges and building academic confidence
-
Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to the student’s learning
-
Implement a range of teaching strategies, using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches as appropriate
-
Track and monitor progress, providing regular updates

Foster an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment

Help students build social and emotional skills alongside academic growth
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Understanding of SEN-specific strategies, tools, and interventions
-
Qualifications in SEN education, teaching, or related fields (e.g., SENCO qualification, PGCE, degree in special education or related area)
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
-
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
-
Creative and flexible approach to teaching, able to adapt to each student’s unique learning style
-
Knowledge of relevant educational frameworks (e.g., EHCPs, P scales)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
