SEN Tutor (Special Educational Needs)

About Us: At TP Tutors, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Tutor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require extra support. As a SEN Tutor, you will help students unlock their full potential through tailored teaching methods that respect their unique learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 tutoring to students with various SEN (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, learning disabilities, etc.)

• Develop individualised learning plans tailored to each student’s specific needs, strengths, and goals

• Support students in overcoming learning challenges and building academic confidence

• Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to the student’s learning

• Implement a range of teaching strategies, using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches as appropriate

• Track and monitor progress, providing regular updates

• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment

• Help students build social and emotional skills alongside academic growth

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Understanding of SEN-specific strategies, tools, and interventions

• Qualifications in SEN education, teaching, or related fields (e.g., SENCO qualification, PGCE, degree in special education or related area)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed

• Creative and flexible approach to teaching, able to adapt to each student’s unique learning style

• Knowledge of relevant educational frameworks (e.g., EHCPs, P scales)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
