SEN Teaching Assistant – Skelmersdale
Location: Various Schools in Skelmersdale
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and dedicated individual with a drive to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive school environments across Skelmersdale.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom.
- Help create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
What We Are Looking For:
- A patient, caring individual with a flexible approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A high level of understanding of various SEN and SEMH conditions.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting) is desirable, but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
