SEN Teaching Assistant – BL4

Are you passionate about supporting students with additional needs? An Ofsted Outstanding-rated school in BL4 is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a positive impact on students' educational journey.

About the Role:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: BL4 (Bolton)
• Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience).
• Start Date: Immediate start available.
• Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
• Assisting with classroom activities to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
• Supporting students with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to implement tailored strategies for each student.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• A compassionate and patient individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
• Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs (e.g., SEN Teaching Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
