Role: Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant
Age: All through
Phase: Secondary
Salary: Dependent on experience, with additional SEN allowance
Location: Quidenham, Norfolk
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

An award-winning SEN School group, renowned for their exceptional educational standards and innovative approach to special education, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the permanent staff at their esteemed school in Quidenham, Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with SEN.
  • Work with teachers to plan and implement individualized learning programs.
  • Support students in developing their self-confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in an SEN support role is essential.
  • Qualification: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Attitude: A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
