Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) in a school in Norwich. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with ASC and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of these students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons,
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups of students with ASC.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide regular updates to the class teacher.
  • Provide support for students with ASC during school trips and other extracurricular activities,

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or adults with ASC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • Qualification in teaching assistant or related field is preferred but not essential.

Hourly pay: £12.90-£14.89

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
