Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Bank Work/Flexible, with Potential for Full-Time Contract).
Location: Mixed Primary and Secondary SEN School.
Contract Type: PAYE Contract.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

About Us:
Teaching Personnel work closesly with a school that caters to a diverse range of special educational needs for learners aged 2–19 years, all of whom have statements or Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). With just over 60 pupils on roll, this school take pride in fostering close relationships with their pupils and their families, ensuring tailored support and an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our pupils both academically and emotionally. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you’ll help deliver tailored learning experiences that meet each child’s unique needs.

This is a flexible bank role, ideal for those seeking part-time hours or varied schedules. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to transition into a full-time contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs.
• Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and supporting pupils in reaching their goals.
• Support teachers in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes.
• Contribute to the care and well-being of pupils, including assisting with personal care when required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
• A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to supporting diverse needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A willingness to learn and engage in training to develop skills further.
