Pay: Starting from £82.50 per day

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) aged 11-16. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with:
✔ Dyslexia
✔ ADHD
✔ Behavioural, Emotional & Social Difficulties (BESD)
✔ Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) Needs
✔ Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
✔ Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils develop confidence, social skills, and independence, ensuring they feel comfortable in both school and public environments. You will also support them in challenging situations, utilizing techniques such as de-escalation to maintain a positive learning space.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Assist the teacher in preparing classrooms and resources.
✔ Create a welcoming and supportive environment to help students thrive.
✔ Work closely with students, building strong, trusting relationships.
✔ Support pupils in managing their emotions and engage in positive behaviour strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Patience, adaptability, and reliability – a passion for helping students succeed!
✔ Previous experience working with SEN/ALN pupils (preferred but not essential).
✔ Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
Essential Requirements:
✔ Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
✔ Right to work in the UK.
✔ Registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council).
✔ Ability to provide two professional references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
