Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time

Location:

North West England, Lancashire, Great Harwood

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Deliver group interventions to children with additional needs
  • Provide 1:1 support for children with SEN, ensuring they recieve an inclusive education 
  • Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for children
  • Help create a positive learning environment for all children
  • Support children with personal care and medical needs, if required
  • Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to ensure children's needs are met
  • Monitor and track children progress and report back to teachers and parents

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with SEN is required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
  • Good organisational skills
  • Empathy and patience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
