SEN Tutor – Ollerton, Nottinghamshire

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to support learners in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a patient and adaptable tutor to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs. The role involves delivering personalised lessons in English, Maths, and other core subjects, helping learners develop their confidence and academic skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons to meet the needs of SEN students

  • Support students with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties

  • Use creative and engaging teaching strategies to support different learning styles

  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment

  • Monitor student progress and provide structured feedback

Requirements:

  • A teaching qualification (or relevant SEN tutoring experience)

  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them

  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching style

  • A DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
