SEN Support Worker – Full-Time – Skelmersdale

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We are recruiting for an SEN Support Worker to join a specialist school in Skelmersdale, starting as soon as possible.

The Role:

As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping students with complex learning needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The role involves:
✔ Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
Assisting with personal care, including toileting and hygiene, where necessary
✔ Promoting independence and positive social interactions
✔ Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
✔ Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement tailored learning plans

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Experience in SEN, care, or support work (or a willingness to learn)
✅ A compassionate and patient approach
✅ The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
✅ A willingness to assist with personal care needs as part of the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
