We are recruiting on behalf of a larger-than-average primary school in Blackpool, looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant to join our dedicated team of teaching staff.

Role & Responsibilities: As a SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with children who have a range of special educational needs. You will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to help these children access the curriculum and develop their skills. Your key duties will include:
- Assisting with classroom activities and providing one-on-one or small group support.
- Supporting children in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the needs of each child are met.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assisting with the implementation of individual learning plans (IEPs) and monitoring progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable, though we are happy to support and train the right candidate.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine interest in helping children overcome challenges.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both with children and adults, to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
