Salary: £95 - £110
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure that each child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, ensuring their learning and emotional needs are met.

Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, as required.

Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and social interaction.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Help with classroom management, adapting teaching materials to suit the needs of students.

Support students with personal care needs, if required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:

A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.

Previous experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support.

A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN qualifications) is desirable but not essential.

An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
