About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure that each child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, ensuring their learning and emotional needs are met.

• Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, as required.

• Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and social interaction.

• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

• Help with classroom management, adapting teaching materials to suit the needs of students.

• Support students with personal care needs, if required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.

• Previous experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support.

• A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN qualifications) is desirable but not essential.

• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
