Psychology Graduates Wanted – Make a Real Difference in Young Lives!
Role: Pastoral Support Assistant (SEN & SEMH)
Location: Primary & Secondary School Settings (Multiple Sites Available)
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Start Date: Immediate or September Start
Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs before pursuing a career in educational psychology, counselling, social work or teaching?

About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for empathetic, resilient, and driven graduates to join our pastoral support team across both primary and secondary schools. You’ll work closely with students who need extra support emotionally, socially, and behaviourally, helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building trusting relationships with pupils with SEN/SEMH

  • Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support

  • Assisting with regulation strategies and managing behaviour

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

  • Helping to create safe, nurturing spaces for learning and emotional growth

  • Supporting pupils through transitions and challenges, including anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem


What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Psychology (or a related field)

  • A strong interest in child development, SEN, and/or mental health

  • Patience, compassion, and a trauma-informed mindset

  • A commitment to making every child feel seen, heard, and supported

  • Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
