Tutoring Opportunity in Burnley:

(Supporting a Year 10 Male Pupil with SEMH Needs!)

Are you a dedicated and empathetic tutor with experience in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We have an exciting opportunity to work with a Year 10 male pupil in Burnley, focusing on core subjects: English, Maths, and Science.

    About the Role:

  • Pupil: Year 10 Male, SEMH Needs
  • Location: Burnley (In-person sessions)
  • Subjects: English, Maths, Science (Core subjects)
  • Hours: Flexible, part-time sessions (to be discussed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one support to improve the pupil’s academic performance in English, Maths, and Science.
  • Foster a positive, patient, and nurturing environment to encourage learning and emotional growth.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to meet the pupil’s specific needs and build confidence.
  • Use engaging, creative, and flexible approaches to maintain focus and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Work closely with the pupil’s family and school to ensure consistent support and progress.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with SEMH students, particularly at secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport, creating a safe space for learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
