SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our team to provide support for both academic and emotional needs. These children have a diverse range of experiences that mean an empathetic and resilient approach must be taken.
Job Description:
- In this role, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the students.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support.
- Building strong relationships with students to establish trust and rapport.
- Promoting positive behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support student learning.
- Creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
While no specific qualifications may be required for this role, having a background in education, psychology, or related fields can be advantageous. A genuine passion for helping students with SEMH needs achieve their full potential is a very important quality we look for, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt the unique needs of each student. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
