Job description

We are seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join our collaborative team at in the Keynsham area. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring all students achieve academic and personal growth. You will oversee strategic pastoral initiatives and work with the pastoral department to create and implement comprehensive support plans for our most vulnerable students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships with professionals, parents, and pupils.
  • Organizing and conducting home visits.
  • Managing time effectively, meeting tight deadlines, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team while also operating independently.
  • Demonstrating empathy and understanding in interactions with young people.

Desired experience is as follows:

  • Experience in pastoral support, mentoring, or wellbeing roles.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour management.
  • Collaboration with external agencies (e.g., social services, CAMHS).
  • Teaching or educational support experience is a plus.
  • Leadership: managing teams and school-wide interventions.
  • Background in teaching, youth work, or counselling.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
