Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEMH HLTA to join a successful secondary school in North Bristol.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team of staff supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising and providing targeted support for designated students.
  • Establishing strong, professional relationships with pupils.
  • Communicating students’ needs and effective strategies to teaching staff.
  • Supporting the development, implementation and review of Pastoral Support Plans, EHCPs, and IEPs.
  • Delivering small group and one to one interventions.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an enthusiastic and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Have experience working with KS3/4 pupils.
  • Possess a willingness to learn and implement new support techniques.
  • Inspire and engage a diverse range of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
