English SEMH Teacher
Are you an experienced English teacher with a passion for working with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? About the Role:
As an English SEMH Teacher, you will work on an agency basis with schools to deliver high-quality English lessons to students with SEMH needs. This role will allow you to work with small groups or individuals, ensuring lessons are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, supporting both their academic and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver English lessons that are engaging, creative, and differentiated for students with SEMH needs.
- Support students in building literacy skills and fostering a love for learning in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Implement strategies to help students manage their emotions, develop social skills, and enhance their emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and support teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Maintain clear communication with schools, ensuring that progress is tracked and appropriate support is provided.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and has experience teaching English, preferably in a setting with SEMH students.
- Has a solid understanding of SEMH and how to adapt teaching methods to support diverse learning and emotional needs.
- Is compassionate, patient, and able to build trusting relationships with students who may face social and emotional challenges.
- Is adaptable, able to work in a variety of schools, and has excellent classroom management skills.
- Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills, working well as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
