Science Tutor – Secondary School – Brighton
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Flexible)
Salary: £20 - £30 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Tutor to support students at a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Brighton. The school has a strong STEM focus, a well-resourced Science department, and a reputation for fostering curiosity and academic growth.
About the role:

Provide 1:1 and small group tuition in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at KS3 and KS4 level

Support students in understanding key concepts, exam techniques, and building confidence
-
Work closely with classroom teachers to align tuition with the curriculum and learning objectives

Flexible delivery: sessions may run during the school day or after school hours
The ideal candidate will:
-
Hold a strong academic background in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field)

Have prior tutoring or teaching experience (QTS is a plus but not required)
-
Be confident in working with students of mixed abilities
-
Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)

Be passionate about education and making learning engaging and accessible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
